He is the founder of Keane Amooti Foundation (KAF), an organisation he initiated to implement HIV/AIDS awareness programmes in several Kampala suburbs since January 2016.

The goal of this charity organisation is to educate, encourage and implement HIV alleviation activities such as encouraging abstinence, talents promotion, sports participation, ICT exposure to the vulnerable interest groups especially the children and teenagers which will in the long run reduce on HIV prevalence rates in the community.

On Saturday, Holy Keane together with Amari Uganda, The Usual Suspects, friends and well wishers managed to reach out to the homeless Children in kisenyi, one of the biggest slum of Uganda that harbours over 600 street kids.

Amari Uganda is a Christian charitable organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and reconnection of street and other vulnerable children in Uganda back to their families.

These children had gathered for a concert labelled ‘Tonalabuka’, so as to showcase their special skills and talent.

Activities included, Preaching the gospel, Musical performances, feeding, medication and awareness creation among others.

“We had fun. I would like to thank the friends and fans of Holy keane, The Usual Suspects and Amari Uganda for making this happen. We can do more than this.” Award winning gospel singer Holy Keane told UG Christian News.

“We played so much of background because it was a new place, meeting new people – so we let them do their show. We wanted to see how the land is at the same time. How they are reacting. These people are quite different, they leave in another world. We wanted to see which people we can coordinate with in the future. What we had, we gave them. We gave them music, food and shared the word of God.” He continued.

Keane says it is simply the situations that they go through that have forced them to be the way they are – they just lack what to do. “But if we make them busy, [they can prove to be relevant to the nation]”

“These children are very talented. They do acrobatics, dance cultural dances and are highly gifted in art. So if we happen to give them a chance, and let them do what they really want , they can move away from the streets.”

“We need to take it from the grassroots because as they grow, they can turn into serious rebels. We need to turn them to jesus before their hearts are hardened. Lets melt their hearts with love in Jesus mighty name.”

Keane says relevant authorities should come up with a social centre in places where such children stay.

“I am requesting the government to additionally look into this and we see how to build Uganda. If I can get land or an office or something like that…it would be nice for them to come and do games, just to keep them away from drugs. But however, me as an artist, I am using music. As you might be aware, music cannot go alone without food. We need to give them water, soda to get them excited” He emphasized.

“This is my first time doing this, but we will keep doing more and more . I thank everyone who really helped and gave in to the cause. Those that prayed for this event, may the Lord God bless them so much, and increase them in Jesus mighty name.
