“Zimbabwe I love you, when I was coming here, I asked God which songs I should sing for this nation. So my playlist is already blessed and approved by God. This is for you, whatever you want is already done. You are blessed.” Said internationally acclaimed gospel singer Sinach upon stepping foot into Glamis Stadium, Harare in Zimbabwe, where thousands had gathered to be apart of her highly anticipated musical performance.

This happened Saturday, a few hours after her departure from Namboole National stadium where a multitude of people crowded for the “unforgettable experience” organised by Christ Embassy.

The 45,202 seating capacity stadium received heavy human traffic right from midday amid heavy security deployment at all entrances and exits. The event kicked off at 6pm with colorful performances from several gospel artists, traditional dance performancers, Youth dance groups among others.

Right before Sinach could step on stage, Christians were led into worship and praise by Joe Praise, TB1, Rap-Nation, all from Nigeria. These artists certainly knew what brought them to Uganda. It was a fully packed Holy Ghost experience.

There was a power blackout for about 30 minutes however, this did not stop the audience from raising their expectations for Sinach arrival.

She was welcomed on stage right about the midnight hour amidst immeasurable excitement from her fans. Sinach immediately set the ball rolling with award winning single “I know who I am”. This was followed with “Way maker” among others.

During the concert, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (D.Sc., D.D.), President of Believers’ Loveworld Incorporated, also known as Christ Embassy was represented by one of his fellow serving pastors from Nigeria.

He took his sermon from John 1:1-14, emphasizing that John used this Greek concept to communicate the fact that Jesus, the Second Person of the Trinity, is the self-expression of God to the world.

He applauded President Y K. Museveni for his great leadership in the nation, also encouraging the multitude to continue reading the Rhapsody of Realities, a devotional he said is now translated in more than 739 languages, with over half a billion copies distributed worldwide.

From our sources in Zimbabwe, the atmosphere was closely similar right from Midday. Despite the hot weather, throngs of people crowded into Glamis Arena. She delivered an electrifying and spiritually uplifting performance.

Sinach, real name Osinachi Kalu ministered with her band members that included Assent Tweed. They ministered effortlessly and in power. Sources do claim that there were a a number of empty chairs especially in the VIP and VVIP sections. This could be because of the price that was a bit too high for most Zimbabweans .

Unlike the concert in Uganda that was free, Zimbabweans had to pay at entrance – $10 for an ordinary ticket and up to $200 for VVIP tickets.
