Musician Sanda Suubi has released her brand new music video for ‘Nsiimye’ with sign language interpretation to accommodate all people with  hearing impairments, whether they be children, teens or adults.

With the audio released at the beginning of 2017 – off her upcoming EP ‘Anthems of Life’ – ‘Nsiimye’ was written two years ago by Pastor Brian Lubega and produced by Sam Bisaso.

The song quickly became a fan favorite, with Sandra Suubi performing it at different events.

He new video features Hindu Luyinda, a young lady who is deaf and interprets the song in sign language.

“Hindu couldn’t hear the sound, so she couldn’t tell whether the song was fast or slow, but she had to find her rhythm as the audio played and Sandra Suubi sang along during the filming,” A statement from her management to this website read in part.

It added, “This brings out the fact that performing artist can engage people with disability and connect with them through visuals. Sandra Suubi used her recycled work of plastics that was transformed into a big ball in the video.”

The video was filmed in Kawempe, a suburb in Kampala and showcases people from different walks of life who share their story of gratefulness in life.

Notably ‘Nsiimye’ has two official videos, one with sign language and the second one with only Sandra Suubi.

This video was directed and co-produced by Grate make, who also directed Sandra Suubi’s prior music video “Onjagande nyo.

Born Again Entertainment, a Christian company partnered with Sandra in the production, according to the statement.

“It was important to Sandra Suubi to include her own real-life DIY artist peers in the project, so all of the characters in the video are artists, family, friends and musicians who in one way or another have shared a bit of their journey with her,”
