Rubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral – Uganda has in the bid to promote talent, creativity and offer opportunities to emerging fashion professionals announced its very first fashion expo expected to take place 16 December 2017.

Running under the theme “Modern African,” the expo is to give Christians engaged in the fashion industry a platform to bring their dreams to reality while using the power and glamour of the runway to bring awareness about several issues related to communities across the African continent.

The expo will also be a reference point for companies to develop and position their brands, generate publicity and establish a local network.

“We will have a fashion exhibition followed by a red carpet, then a green carpet moment. The  green carpet moment is going to have an African set-up. Our theme is ‘Modern Africa’, something that has not happened before. We will have competition among designers and models themselves,” the ministry told this website in an exclusive interview.

The Church is set to unveil two categories of models, including those that are church figures. These are about 40-something models, the church said.

“Then we have another category of twenty four (24) young models. We have been training them for sometime,” the Church said , noting that this group has been equipped with knowledge, experience, guidance – and are to compete among them selves too.

Many Christians love fashion and some are models signed to different agencies, Robert Kayanja Ministries, through MADS company hopes to use this event to bring God into fashion.  The event will start 8am.
