When no one was expecting him to draw in, when everyone had their thoughts drawn to nothing but the ongoing Saddleback’s 35th birthday party that was proceeding in event at the Angel Stadium, something mind-boggling happened.
Pastor Rick Warren’s second youngest grandkid made spontaneously ran across the infield in front of everyone- at full speed- to the pitcher’s mound where his grandfather had been preaching. We usually have this happening in churches where the pastor is so full of the anointing and before you know it, the son or daughter is at the altar asking for the microphone or even worse asking to be carried up by the parent.
The beauty about this incident is the joy that the young man could not hold back his joy anymore and only God knows towards what but it was with the grandfather that he felt sharing it with.
“Realizing that he was coming at full-force to jump into my arms I planted myself so he wouldn’t knock me over! When he jumped into my arms I threw him into the sky before the watching crowd. It was a moment of pure joy that neither I, nor our church family, will forget. “Said Rick Warren.
“Grandchildren are the crowning glory of grandparents.” Proverbs 17:6 , Imagine your Heavenly Father greeting you this way when you arrive in heaven!” he continued off to say.
