31st December, the president attended the annual crossover prayers to usher in the New Year, 2016, with congregations at more than four different locations across the country.

He joined Christians at Liberty Worship Centre, Lugala hosted by the senior pastor Imelda Namutebi Kula. He was also hosted by Prophet Samuel Kakande of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations Uganda, Pastor Serwadda of Victory Christian Centre Ndeeba who were at Namboole stadium, and Bishop David Kiganda Founder and Senior Pastor of Christianity Focus center at Nakivubo stadium.

He pledged full support to the Born again faith in Uganda as well as emphasizing that they should have equal rights like any other religious denomination

At all venues, worshipers drew out their hands to pray for the President who is as we speak on the move across the country seeking the people’s vote for the forthcoming general elections.

Just recently after Pope Francis’ visit to the country, the President stated, “I have got so many exciting things, His Holiness the Pope came here, I was happy. He blessed my people and also blessed me”

From what transpired at Nakivubo and Namboole stadium amidst more that 60,000 believers, If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.[Matthew 18:19]
