Pastor Umar Mulinde, a Christian convert from Islam, and acid survivor, was found safe after a robbery attack in which he was stripped of his personal belongings.

The founder of Gospel life Church International – Namasuba was on 25th September blocked off by unknown individuals as he returned home from what he termed as a successful Gospel Crusade in Mubende.

“We returned to Kampala safely but on Tuesday night, assailants attacked us, we narrowly survived, only lost a few personal and office items such as laptops, iPads and phones but precious life is intact,” he narrated on Wednesday.

“We have all our friends and partners contacts secured, but just in case, please do not respond to any dubious calls or emails claiming to be from me or any of my team member, respond only to my official cell or WhatsApp number and e-mail,” he added.

Mulinde said he has no doubt, “God is our refugee, protection and strength.”

On September 19th, Pr Mulinde revealed that among many who surrendered their lives to Christ in Mubende were police officers who were sent to guard the crusade. “They ended up giving their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ,” he said.

On 24/12/2011, Umar Mulinde was attacked by muslim extremists who poured acid on him seeking his death because of his conversion to Christianity from Islam and his progressive Gospel preaching that has changed many Muslims.

Despite his sufferings, he says he is fully aware from the Bible according to Genesis 50:20 that God can take a disadvantage, and turn it into an advantage.

“Please send prayers that we recover the lost valuable items and culprits to be arrested,” he said.
