As the third Adam, we have learned from the first and second Adams. We have such a heritage and should be at an advantage because we have seen the mistakes of the first Adam and the power of the second Adam to avert them.

Unfortunately today, many in the church are weaker and that includes Christians, pastors and church leaders. Many of God’s people are living in confusion and still suffer from the “my church is better than yours- syndrome,” instead of focusing on following Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. The church
ought to know better.

We should stop the pettiness of denominational strife and instead focus on the great commission of going into the whole world and preaching the gospel to every creature.

I believe the key for us to please the Father as Jesus did is by us hearing His voice and doing His will. If we do His will, He will release to us more grace, favor, power, anointing and ability. He has given us everything, yet the road to heaven is becoming lonelier and lonelier. We need to impact the world, and we can only do this if we know and do the will of the Father.

The image of God in us is the will that He gave us, but that will can either cause one to prosper or be denied. In order to understand the will of God for our lives, first, we need to know His Word.

The scripture says in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

It is very difficult for any man to know the will of God except by the Word of God as revealed by the Holy Spirit. The word of God is the foundation for our relationship with God. Adam failed to recognize this fact when he was still in the Garden of Eden.

He and God were in a unique partnership that was the marvel of all creation. God created things while Adam named them. Unfortunately, Adam allowed familiarity to damage his partnership with God.

There is always a tendency for people to abuse partnerships and because God is open and is love, it is especially easy for us to abuse our partnership with Him. In order to understand God, you need to understand His word.

Many people want to know God through His power or His works, but then forget that the most fundamental thing that started the whole creation was the word of God.

The word was with God and the word was God (John 1:1), so when you get the word of God, the will
of God will be revealed in your heart. The Bible reveals to us that the Word is God, and also that God is a Spirit. That means that the Word and the Holy Spirit work in harmony.

The Spirit cannot move unless the word has come, and the word is not effective unless it is anointed by the
Holy Spirit. Therefore, it is only when we understand the word of God that we will understand how this world was framed and how it functions.

By the word of God, we will understand where the money is, the life is, the good relationships are and so much more. The word of God is vital for us if we will understand the things of God.

We must understand that everything started with God because He was there in the beginning. Therefore, without Him and without the word, you have nothing: not friends, not money, not ministry, nothing!

–I have travelled and preached in over eighty countries, in numerous crusades, conferences and churches, but I have never walked to the pulpit and right away, began to call out the afflicted to be healed without ministering to them first in the Word of God. I know it is possible to do so but if one did that, there would be no difference between a preacher of the gospel and a magician. It is necessary that people are given the word of God as a basis for their faith.

–Sometimes we have settled for less because we are ignorant of God’s will for our lives, yet it is very clear in the word. It is a shame that many do not use the word of God to get revelation but rather employ it religiously. Many just carry the Bible around but fail to read and study it. The end result is to ignorantly accept misfortune as God’s will because His will for them has not been sought out. God never wills evil upon us.
