LATE Pastor Benon Kawaala (R) with his wife May Kawaala (L).

USA based Ugandan Pastor Benon Kawaala of Healing Outreach Ministries International passed on 15 June after suffering acute kidney failure at Boston Medical Center.

UG Christian News has learnt that the remains of the late will arrive in Uganda today, 29th June, 2018.

The life of Pastor Benon Kawaala was celebrated in a special farewell service held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Christ Episcopal Church (Home of Uganda’s St. Peter’s Anglican Church) in Waltham.

He was married to Mrs. May Kawaala and together they helped to pioneer various fellowships in Boston. “Our Massachusetts Community has lost a leader, a Pastor and Friend to many,” Ugandans in the diaspora said in a statement.

In what was described as a colorful and massive Boston send off, Pastor Kawaala’s life and ministry were eulogized by the ministers he touched and the community he blessed. Many of the mourners said his humor, sermons and teachings will be dearly missed.

The late was brother to Deborah N Kisakye, a renowned gospel minister.

According to reports, 70% of the Born again Christian Churches in Boston were fathered by Pastor Kawaala. He was married thirty years, and had four grown children.

Pastor Kawaala will be buried at Lubila village, Iganga district on 2nd July, 2018.
