Nansana, Wakiso District – The DPC of Nansana Police Post has made a call to Churches to conduct a weekly lunch hour service at the Police Station for both the police officers and the prisoners.

The appeal comes following free innovation in repairs and maintenance made by the youth from St. Stephen’s Church of Uganda.

According to Namirembe Diocese, Police officials this week recognised youth at the above mentioned Church for their contribution towards Police well being.

“As Police we are extremely happy with what God has done today for remembering us,” The DPC, SP Benard Katwalo reportedly said.

He admitted that condition at the Police was not the best especially in the Prison cells.

He thanked Bishop Luwalira for this support and said Nansana Police Post is open for the Church all the time and urged Church to include them in their programs and work together.

The DPC also held a discussion with the youth on the role of police in the community and how they can work together with Church.
