Does God still perform miracles today? Are there still miraculous healings done in this age of the church? Can we still expect miraculous healings that Jesus and the apostles performed in the New Testament?
Following what He has done for her family, the Executive Director Kampala City Council authority Jennifer Semakula Musisi boldly declares that God still performs miracles.
While addressing tens of thousands at Miracle Center Cathedral gathered for the 77 days of glory deliverance service on Wednesday night, Mrs Ssemakula revealed she had taken some time without seeing real miracles.
She noted with great concern that after what God did for her sister – Lukwago Betty, on Monday, her eyes have surely seen that God still does the amazing and accomplishes the impossible with everyday people.
Her Testimony.
I am here to testify to the miracle God did in our family (calls her sister Betty to the pulpit). I do not have so many brothers and sisters – this one is very special to me. She is born again, and for so many years she has been in ministry here at the Miracle Center Cathedral.
Our mother was relatively Pr Kayanja’s mother. She loved him so much. Even before he begun ministry, mum loved Pr Kayanja like a son. She was initially a government worker after which she left to pursue her own business.
She really worked hard. For this, God blessed her – she was able to take us to school, up until we graduated. Betty was taken to study in England, same for our other sister in America and my younger brother.
He is in the USA, and he studied to become a Nephrologist – a medical doctor who specializes in kidney care and treating diseases of the kidneys.
Our mother took care of us from a tender age until we got married. She was an extremely beautiful woman naturally, and hard working.
However, she started getting sick. Her health kept on deteriorating without any sign of improvement. The once-hard-working woman fell so sick that she could no longer walk. She had to use crutches. she had to use walkers.
It became fatal that she could not alter the position of her body or eat on her own. She had become paralyzed by the time we placed her in the wheelchair. Even here, she could not sit straight, but lay flat on the ground.
One could not tell that she was once a strong woman. Before passing on, Betty took her to her home and took care of her for about 4 years. We prayed for her, so many people prayed for her but God called her home. She could not do anything by herself, until she went on to be with the Lord.
When this happened, Betty too started falling sick. We begun to notice similarities between her sickness and that mum had. She fell sick to the extreme.
There is no hospital we did not reach. And concerning her (Betty), everyone would come to help – whether with money – everyone came to support us take her everywhere possible to get treatment. Nevertheless, was just deteriorating the more.
This week on monday, after taking her to the doctor said to be the best expert at spine related issues, he attended to her, but the situation simply grew worse.
She begun to swell. One could hardly recognise her. She was in excruciating pain. We tried bringing her to my home but getting her up or in the car was next to impossible.
I was deeply troubled and drowned in query. I wondered if Betty is really going to die, “how come she is not getting healed?” I moved from one doctor to the other – this one is from germany, the other Japan, try this one from America – we went to them all.
Same Monday we went to see the doctor, she didn’t tell me that she was coming to Miracle Center Cathedral. I was just told by a colleague, Mr Kiwanuka, that Betty is here and that she has been healed. My relatives from America had also started calling one after the other in tears, and so many more that were watching Channel44, saying that Betty is healed.
I had taken some time without seeing real miracles. They tell you, but you let it in reservedly. But Mr Kiwanuka sent me a video on whatsapp that he had taken of Betty’s healing proceedings here at church.
In the video, I saw the Pastor here at the pulpit, telling Betty to have a seat in the red Chair. I looked at my sister walking off the pulpit – I was in a car, heading to work . I told the drive to stop the car aside the road. I told him that look at this, this is Betty walking. We were amazed. Praise the Lord. The whole day, I was in total wonder. Saints, I got saved long ago, But this kind of miracle has never come before my eyes.
I am the very person that has been taking care of my sister. We have suffered so much. I was worried that Betty would die in the very way that my mother did.
She had lost taste for everything. Food was tasteless for her – just as it was for mum. Today she told me that she can taste salt, she can taste the spices.
Yesterday I had to witness this with my very eyes. Reaching her home – Initially, she could never leave the house, It is we who could go in, wait for her to come very slowly. And it would look like we are inconveniencing her – This time she walked out and welcomed me from the veranda.
It looks as though we have someone just resurrected from the dead now. God be Praised. We thank Him for He has done a miracle for us in our house.
I do ask that you pray for me too. 2-3 months back, I started feeling what she has been feeling in the same leg. But the devil is a liar, I told a few people, “this thing that has come into our family, before it puts me on a wheelchair, let me put on a sharp heels…” they responded saying, “Is your faith so low.”
But I believe that the Lord who broken this yoke off Betty, broken it off me too. Praise the Lord.
