Muslims at Kyebando in Wakiso district, Uganda stormed their local police station seeking protection.

These claimed that the Born again in this area demean and trash the Islamic faith every-time they gather for soul winning crusades.

This took place recently during Eid al-Adha, also called the “Sacrifice Feast”, the second of two Muslim holidays celebrated worldwide each year.

The Muslim group was led by Sheikh Suleiman Mutumba who first told the police authorities that there are Born again Christians who draw crowds every evening in Kyebando town, and that they are excessively  abusing Muslims.

Mutumba put the government to task so as to explain whether police is in place to cover up Born again Christians as they trivialize Muslims.

In her statement to state owned News Paper Bukedde, Christine Akello from Kyebando’s police station stated that it was initially the Muslims that attacked the Born again, destroying their property.

She blamed the Muslims for raiding the police station urging that they should meet the Born again and find means of seeking reconciliation to resolve the conflict.

Authorities from Nansana Police station led by Kasim Matovu said that other than staying at war because of religious differences, they will meet either parties to settle the dispute.
