At the heart of witchcraft is the desire to know the future and control events in the natural by tapping into the spiritual realm. To become involved in witchcraft in any way is to enter Satan’s covenant.

From the 77 days of Glory, season 2, a present day ex-Muslim has summed up Islam’s position on sorcery.

The 67-year-old came forth last week when an altar call was made for those who wanted to confess Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

“I’m from an Islamic ancestry. In 1975, my grand father went on pilgrimage to Mecca, that is where he died.” He told the gathering. “I’ve been practicing witchcraft using the Quran. This is my grandfathers book ( displays a Quran). I decided to get born again, but my relatives said no… They said if I made that decision, I would get a problem. Nevertheless, when I decided – and they knew that I am going to get saved – I got an accident (shows Pastor the scars). They said that this was just the beginning.”

“We do not want you to put us to shame. Our entire ancestry is Islamic.” They told him.

Despite threats, this gentleman says he had to stand ground amid pressure from his Muslim family.

“I told them that no one should decide for me, I should make my own decisions. In the Quran, there is a scripture that says; when the redemption of the Lord comes forth, you will see multitudes come to the rightful faith of God – I noted that in my mind. I then searched out to discover which religion is being referred to. I returned to the Quran yet again.”

“During my Quran recitations, I used to say; I am looking for the straight path, the right path that the Lord Himself ordained for his people. Not the path for those the Lord is angry at or that are lost.” He said, revealing that he found that Jesus is the way.

The gentleman told Mr Kayanja (Founder and senior pastor of Miracle Centre Cathedral) that from getting saved, he wants to get to that place of complete surrender to Jesus, even visit Israel where Jesus spent his time on earth.

“Portions of scripture in the Quran say that when you join Islam, be drawn to it fully. Form this, now that I am here, I want to live life to the full as a Christian. I am leaving this Taqiyah (cap) and kanzu here. Next time I return, I will bring all the Arabic scripts and writings I was using for sorcery.” He said.

Pr Robert Kayanja was amazed by the testimony and told the gathering that only the Holy Spirit can do this; transforming the hearts of men.
