Stanley Ntagali (born in 1955) the archbishop of the Anglican Church of Uganda sent out an invitation to the clergy all over the country to participate in the Conference on the theme “Revive your Church, O Lord.” (Habakkuk 3.2).
It has since commencement attracted more than 2,000 clergy from all 35 dioceses in the Church of Uganda and the speakers include Archbishop Stanley Ntagali, the Very Rev Kanishka Raffel from Sydney Diocese (Australia), the Rt. Rev. Mike Hill, Bristol Diocese (UK), the Rt. Rev Sosthenes Eze, Enugu North Diocese (Nigeria), the Rt. Rev Aloysius Agbo, Nsukka Diocese (Nigeria), and, many leaders from within the Church of Uganda.
In Yesterday’s arrangement, Kanishka Raffel from Australia led the morning expositions on the book of Habakkuk and Bishop Mike Hill from Bristol, England, taught on leadership. Bp Mike Hill challenged clergy to not only seek forgiveness for their sins, but to be cleansed – to be so cleansed by the blood of Jesus that the desire for sin is gone. “Too many people want to be forgiven, but they don’t want to be cleaned,” he said.
The conference begun on 24th and It is expected to run till 28th August 2015.
