This announcement has been made following the recent promise by His Excellency Yoweri K. Museveni at the 10th National Prayer Day and Night at Nakivubo Stadium hosted by Bishop Kiganda  and his wife Pr. Cindy Kiganda.

He said that the Born again [Pentecostal church] should have equal rights like any other religious denomination in the country including the right to conduct wedding marriages.

Pastor Joseph Sserwadda, presiding Apostle of Born Again Churches commented on this saying that it is good as they can now conduct their marriages legally.

With those earlier authorized, this has now brought the number of licensed Pentecostal churches to 136 country wide.

Attorney General, Fred Ruhindi, told media that this will increase government revenue and also simplify the process of Attaining holy matrimony especially amongst the youth in Pentecostal churches.
