Mavuno Church – Kampala is already gearing up for the annual ‘Fearless Awards’, that seek to celebrate individuals who have served the Church diligently throughout the past year.

According to a statement available on the Church website, the awards are a way to say “thank you” to various ministers who have provided outstanding encouragement, support, and service to the Ministry.

“They labor , they toil, they pay the price of leadership, they quietly influence, because they believe that the path to greatness is through the highway of service,” the statement reads. “Most often their labours go unseen, unheard often unnoticed. But we see, we notice, we appreciate and celebrate them.”

Mavuno Church was founded in 2005, but its history dates back to 1952.

To date, the ministry has various branches located in Uganda, Rwanda, Malawi, Kenya, Zambia and Berlin. In August this year, Mavuno Church, Kampala commissioned their new lead Pastor Michael Obbo Onen, adding that incumbent Pastors, Waweru Njenga and his wife Evie Wareru were set to transition to their next ministry address.

The Fearless Awards are slated for December 2nd, 2018 at Kampala Parents School, under the theme ‘Royalty’.
