LightHouse Television injects millions into Kampala City Festival

Faith based broadcaster in Uganda, Light House Television has joined several sponsors injecting millions of shillings into the Kampala City Festival.

The Christian station announced Wednesday during the Festival launch that they are funding the fete with a whooping one hundred fifty million shillings. This happened at Kampala City Council Authority [KCCA] headquarters in Kampala

The dummy check was received by KCCA director, Jennifer S Musis, who revealed in her speech that different from the former festivals, this time celebrations will start with a charity concert whose proceeds will go towards renovating and and providing better equip in KCCA schools.

This charity concert will take place on Friday, October 6th 2017 before the main festival on Sunday, 8th October 2017.

That aside, Christ Embassy Church also on board with a hundred million shillings.

The event is fully funded by the private sector as a major business and publicity opportunity for them. Each official supporter is introduced to special privileges depending on the sponsorship package they choose.

These might include special recognition from the legal body, unlimited co-branding on all available media throughout the publicity campaign, MC mentions on all stages (Not less than 20 times), Prime space for a 200-seater tent at the main concert venue among others.

Other sponsors include City Tyres, Huawei, Movit and Jesa, Airtel Uganda, Inter Aid Uganda, NBS TV, Bell Lager, Total Uganda and Movit Products Uganda LTD.
