Muhammad Kirumira, who professes to the Islamic faith, visited Pastor Aloysius Bujjingo at Salt Media offices in Lungujja earlier this year for prayers.

During his visit to Church-owned Media House Salt TV and Radio in Lungujja earlier this year, Muhammad kirumira described why faith differences should not divide or create a rift between people.

Muhammad Kirumira was welcomed by the General Manager of Salt Media Charles James Senkubuge together with the CEO, who is also lead Pastor of House of Prayer Ministries International, Aloysius Bujjingo.

Pastor Bujjingo told the former Buyende District Police Commander (DPC) not to grow weary in well doing adding that whatever he was doing for Uganda was deeply acknowledged by God.

His appearance at the station for prayers, came after the police tribunal has charged him with counts including torture, extortion, corruption, bribery, unlawful arrests and excessive use of authority.

Many of these charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. Kirumira also later resigned from the police force after 13 years of service.

Assassinated

Police on Saturday night issued a statement confirming Muhammad Kirumira’s death. He was gunned down by unknown assailants with his female friend in Bulenga, Wakiso District along Kampala Mityana Road.

Reports on Kirumira’s assassination started making rounds on social media around 8:40pm, with eye witnesses at the scene noting that attackers were riding on a red sport motorcycle without a licence plate.

“People do not sleep”

At Salt Media, Afande Kirumira told Pr Bujjingo people do not sleep as they seek to hear the gospel on a daily.

A news report issued by Salt Media showed that he [Kirumira] commanded Pr Bujjingo and the entire Salt Media fraternity for their service to the nation.

He noted that the “gospel should be preached further” for it has transformed the nation. “Your gospel is modern, it spreads fast,” he told the Pastor.

Pr Bujjingo Prays

Pr Bujjingo asked God to grant Kirumira long life.

“The same God who does not let go of His people, may He save you for whatever you are going through today. May your family see his blessings and may he grant you a long and fulfilled life.

“May those years that were mangled be restored, because the lord restores the years the locusts have eaten. May you see you children’s children – may they be told of your history. I pray for a blessing upon your family, children, siblings – may you win in the name of Jesus Christ,” the Pastor prayed in part.
