H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has renewed the contract of Jennifer Semakula Musisi, the executive director of Kampala Capital City Authority.

This revelation was made Monday during the commissioning of a renovated classroom blocks at Kasubi Church of Uganda Primary school financed by the Indian Women Association

During her speech, Jennifer Musisi said she is here to serve Uganda whether at KCCA or any other public office because she has served Uganda at KCCA, public offices and at home.

Kampala Minister Olive Beti Kamya has also confirmed the contract renewal.

As previously reported by this website, her ongoing [second] contract was due to expire April 14, 2017.

In her 2015 speech to a mass gathering of Christians during the Kampala City festival, Ms Musisi said when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.

“We are rejoicing because we know this is the work of God. I don’t think anything would be what it is today had the Lord not allowed it. God has established his presence in Kampala.” She told believers.

“Do pray that what God is doing in Kampala will replicate in other districts of Uganda. If God can change KCC to KCCA, He can transform anything. I saw where KCCA was and where it is today. There has got to be war before victory, and we are winning. Sometimes we do fail and fall flat on the ground but God is faithful. When I close the doors to my house and cry out to God, letting Him Know that am tired, he lifts me up to face the next day.”

Let alone her frosty relationship with Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago in recent years, 2017 did not begin on a high note for the ESQR’s Best Quality Leadership Award recipient.

Musisi on March 2nd appeared before the Committee on Commissions, Statutory bodies and State Enterprise-COSASE to explain her role in the Heritage Oil and Gas arbitration case for, which she earned Shillings 50 million.

During questioning by the committee chairperson Abdu Katuntu, she told the nation watching on live TV she regrets taking on the KCCA  job.

In her statement to the Committee members, Musisi said she was delighted to have received the money as a reward for her efforts, adding that her appointment as KCCA ED was far from a reward, saying she only accepted the offer because of her love for the country.
