Kamapala City Council Authority [KCCA] has on Thursday held a meeting with several religious leaders from across the country.

This meeting graced by among others members of the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda [IRCU] was chaired by KCCA Executive Director Jennifer S Musisi at Serena Hotel – Kampala.

We want to engage with them, pick feedback and share ideas, officials from KCCA said. The meeting was also aimed at spotlighting joint opportunities among the state holders to improve service delivery in Kampala.

In his remarks, the Deputy Secretary General of IRCU, Charles Serwanja called upon the religious leaders to support KCCA in effectively executing its mandate for the common good.

“Kampala is our City. It’s the face our Country. Let’s be proud of it” Charles Serwanja said.

Also present was Bishop Harry Morris Bukenya, the founder of Eden Revival Ministries and Senior Pastor Eden Revival Church Wandegeya who emphasized the need for all citizens to take up the responsibility of making Kampala a better City.

It benefits us all, he said.

Ms Musisi challenged the church leaders to play their role for profound impact, display accountability and put their time to real work.

“Our grandchildren will ask: You had an opportunity to make a difference, what did you do? I’ts upon each one of us to play a role.” She said.
