Not that kind of cheat-a girl! Adrienne Bailon’s boyfriend, Israel Houghton, took to Facebook on Tuesday, March 22, to defend his relationship with the Cheetah Girls actress and singer.
Houghton, 44, explained in his post that Bailon, 32, had nothing to do with his divorce from his estranged wife, Melissa. The Grammy award–winning Christian music artist filed for divorce from his ex after 20 years of marriage last month.
While addressing the tragic news of Tuesday’s terrorist attacks on Brussels, Houghton expressed his frustration with having to explain his new romance.
“I met Adrienne Bailon a bit over 2 years ago, we worked together & became friends… Our circles connected & we remained good friends. From a friendship, as two single adults we have very recently begun to explore a dating relationship,” he shared. “As I previously wrote in a statement I released a while back, My marriage had been over for quite some time before going public with my divorce announcement.”
