The Ugandan performing artist will auction off her own shoe collection to raises funds for ‘Gather For Children’, an NGO she founded in 2006, and is running in partnership with the Namukozi West women’s group.

“If you’ve ever liked my Parisian fashion, come ready to bid. Take home a pair of my shoes and put shoes on a child in Mityana,” Namubiru said through her social media platform.

The auction is slated for Sunday June 26, 2016 at the Wine Garage in Muyenga from 9am to 1pm.

“Please bring any good quality used or new shoes for boys and girls aged 1 – 14 to support my efforts to support children less privileged,” she further appealed.

Gather For Children is a Community Based Organization in Mityana, Namabale and Namukozi, which supports women to farm and feed their children by providing the land, equipment and other necessities.
