For quite a number of Ministries in Uganda today, Church is more than a building and more than Sunday meetings – these are only a small part of Church life.

Watoto Church years back welcomed the concept of Cell where members that life together in their community meet weekly in a home or other venue to discuss a given week’s message, pray together, eat, laugh and have fun.

In one of his sermons, Pastor Gary Skinner – the Church founder – revealed that they recently witnessed 187 new cells birthed throughout the City of Kampala last year.

Cell groups to Watoto Church are a powerful missional tool, allowing for the greater spread of the gospel among residents in the community. They are places where people can open up, listen, learn, and grow.

The Ministry believes that “the need to belong is an inherent gift from God for mankind to relate with Him and with one another.”

Here is how one Cell group at Middle East Market, Bugolobi, attached to the Ministry is transforming lives.
