Another way of putting that question, in biblical terms, is, “How does one keep from losing their first love?”.

When you come to know Him and put your faith in Him, Jesus changes your life. You’re excited, and everything in life is a contrast to what it was before. But over the long haul, how do you keep that motivation going? How do you sustain a Christ-centered life?

For gospel music minister Tumuhairwe Robert, popular known as Robinsan Hairwe, the fact that the Son of God did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many motivates him to total submission and worship.

Robinsan ponders upon the fact that Jesus chose to suffer, die and participate intentionally in his own execution all because of his great love for man kind.

“I am motivated to follow Christ each day because of the fact that He became a ransom. He gave his life for my sins. That makes me feel so loved and this keeps me stuck on Him. ” The 29-year-old says.

“I look back at where I came from and where I am now. He got me from far. I was lost and Christ showed me the way. He is the way to heaven.” The ‘Simple life’ hit singer adds.

In our salvation walk, many times we’ve floated through faith no matter the storms that come our way. Although some grow bitter and angry over time, why is it important to keep doing good and caring for those in our circles?

“Jesus taught love as the most important commandment. Love your brethren. If we can all learn to do that.” Robinsan says, quoting Mark 12:31

“Our Lord Jesus taught; The second most important commandment is this: ‘Love your neighbor, (not ignoring) as you love yourself.’ The quality of love you give others will most probably be affected by the quality of love you have for yourself. There are people you will not waste your time pouring quality love upon depending on the love you have for yourself.” Robinsan says.
