Christians in Burundi will on 30th July be ushered into the 2nd wave of Pamoja Festival, an annual event which unites top gospel artists and Djs from four countries; Burundi, Uganda, Kenya and Zambia.

The festival founder and vision bearer has on Wednesday told UG Christian News that Uganda’s Holy Keane Amooti has been confirmed and is expected to perform at this festival running under the theme “unlimited happiness”.

Mr Jeff says the main objective of Pamoja is to promote the good news through relevant inspirational music that is appealing to the urban culture.

“‘Pamoja’ is a Swahili word that means Together. Pamoja festival is an idea generated from a need to bring the Gospel music industry on one platform and also enhance unity among the Burundian community – to express joy and love that comes with music.” The founder told our reporter.

Holy Keane, who will be appearing at this stage for the second time, says it has always been an awesome experience for him and, “many get familiar with my testimony and are touched.”

“I share my testimony and tell them about how God has elevated me from dust to where I am today. Since they have been through wars and many have lost relatives in the process, they get along with my testimony knowing that God has something for them in the future.

“Encouraging them is a good experience for me. I let them know that they were born for a particular purpose and are not an accident. I tell them that God loves them so mush.” The 31-year-old said in an interview with this website.

“I have been going to Burundi every year, and probably the first Ugandan artist to cross over and minister at Christian Life Ministries, Burundi, a very humbling experience. This event is called Pamoja – together as one. they get together and say; we are one no mater the tribe. One blood, one Jesus, one God.” He added.

The festival will take place at Karera Beach, Bujumbura, Burundi. Other artists expected include Esther Chungu (Lusaka, Zambia), Gerard Andy (Burindi), Bruno (Burundi), Abirabure (Burindi), Kris Erroh (Kenya) among others.
