The Heaven Inspired Triumph (HIT) Awards were introduced to Uganda last year and, right from the start, they received tremendous support due to the unique perspective from which they seek to reward Christian personalities.

Their categories center attention not only on the gospel industry, but on several other spheres of life i.e Arts & Entertainment, Business, Philanthropy, the church, media, leadership and lifetime achievement.

The other unique quality about these awards is that they do not have fixed categories where from nominees are revealed.Take an example of 2016, categories like Dance Group of the year, Rising Star, Comedian of the year were not listed, yet present 2015.

With all this, the organizers emphasize that such diversity is intended to reward those whose strong values and faith have inspired them to stand out in their fields.

2016 nominees were unveiled earlier this month and open to public voting. Weeks down the road, social media is feeling the heat from the fans.

Let alone the art work that was released by the HIT Awards management, most of the nominees have gone ahead to reveal more of their talent through awesome pieces posted on social media, and tagging several die hard friends.

Along with the unique work, they attach instructions showing their fans how to vote as many times as their pockets can allow.

Truthfully, all Categories are competitive, more so to someone who has seen the effort and contribution of these Christians to society everyday .

8th July, 2016 at the Serena Kampala Hotel, the Front runners will be announced, starting with a red carpet grand entry. The dress code will be Black & Gold Regal. Tickets go for 50,000/- gold and 100,000/-
