Hawa: God alone can do what no man can do

There can be situations in life that are most perplexing. Similar to the Israelites, at times you can be put into a temporary, yet difficult, place or a seemingly impossible circumstance. Yet, what looked like a mess for the Israelites, God turned into a miracle, and today He can do the same for you.

This encouragement resonates with what gospel musician Hawa Musa shared as she gave thanks to God and celebrated another year of life on Tuesday.

In Deuteronomy 32:4, Moses speaks of God as the “Rock” whose works are “perfect” and ways are “justice.” He is “a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he.”

And we read of Paul’s confidence in the faithfulness of God: “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it” (1 Thess. 5:24). And elsewhere Paul writes that God will finish the good work he began in us.

Hawa Musa says God alone can do what no man can do, He is the God of restoration.

“He will never forget his people, He lifts up all those who are cast down, He turns stories around and realigns destinies,”

Everyone loves a good comeback story. But without a setback those comebacks wouldn’t be possible. You might be in the middle of a setback right now, but as Hawa Musa says; this shall be a year of fruitfulness.

“He calls the despised honorables, He wipes away all tears, He defends the oppressed, the father to the fatherless and the husband to the widows,” Hawa says.

When you cannot help yourself any more and no human being can deliver you, when all your ways are fenced in and you see no hope, there is still God. Face 2019 with confidence, knowing that regardless of how dismal and dark your setbacks are, Jesus is always there with you as you travel through. Trust God, you will taste the sweetness of victory.
