Gospel singer Jackie Senyonjo is blowing out her birthday candles Friday.
Originally Jackie Tumwebaze, she became Senyonjo after getting married to Pastor Godfrey Senyonjo.
The second of four children raised up in a small town in Entebbe happens to be a mother, a songwriter, and choir director.
Jackie got to know the Lord on one of her visits in western Uganda in Bukinda village Kabale town.
She started singing at a teenage age in school scripture unions, later (1999) joining Kansanga miracle centre church choir, where she developed her music talent.
In 2008, she launched out as a solo artist, with her music topping Christian and non Christian music charts across the country.
Jackie has produced several hit albums and videos. She has been nominated for several regional and national awards.
Her songs include Tuwaye, Mukama y’ensonga , Waleeta Essanyu , Netaaga Gwe, Obeerawo, Nandibadewa, Teli Mulala, Bumper, Kanindeko, Mulamu, Gyogenda among others.
