KAMPALA – In the bid to reach out and influence the lives of young people with the love of Christ, Power 104.1 FM has announced its latest event, ‘Guntu Xtra’ which started as “themed house parties” hosted by various individuals.

In a document sent to this website, the faith-based radio station explained that formerly labeled ’Guntu’, the celebration happened in such a way that the host would choose to throw a party and Power FM would come in with drinks and one of their favourite artistes.

The artist would make a performance of two or more songs before moving on to another party.

“The party would be on-air with the DJ playing upbeat music as well as doing live links to connect with all the parties happening that particular evening,” the station narrated. “We would allow only calls from these different parties to create a hype for that [particular night].”

Power FM has brought back these exciting parties and they are this time round taking the celebration to a centralised location, Uganda Museum on 18th January, 2018.

Entrance will be 10,000 Ugx.

“We are doing this to allow people who had this fun while still at the university recoup the fun but also allow the new generation have a portion of it,” they said.
