Gospel singer raising funds for little sister’s heart surgery

John Marie Ssengendo just graduated from Makerere University, but it’s already clear that he’s a fast rising gospel star who loves his family.

His little sister, Zawedde Josephine, has two heart openings, a condition she was born with, and needs urgent attention.

Popular for such songs that include Nsiima, Newunya, John Marie, who also doubles as a music producer with over 8 years of experience, hopes to use his music gift at a concert labeled, ‘Nsiima’ to raise funds Zawedde needs in order to undergo an open heart surgery in India.

The one-year-old was initially attended to by medical practitioners at the Mulago heart institute however, the condition is not any better.

Their father has through bank loans, sale of personal properties tried to raise 24 million shillings but in vain.

“This is the only chance that you and I have to save her by contributing towards this cause in the different avenues. We can attend the music concert at the National Theatre or send in your contribution..Be part of this life giving project and God shall bless you abundantly!” John Marie says.

With all proceeds to her sister, he hopes to raise 17 million shillings from the concert. Gates will on 11th June 2017 be open 3 p. m. Entry; Ush 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000.

John Marie will be joined by several gospel artists including Samuel Kimera, Justine Naboosa, Brian Lubega, D.Reign, Jonas Rayme, Canaan Gents, Lyrical Micheal and Spring Gents.
