As long as you live with one foot in the world, living according to the world’s values and for the world’s goals, Satan won’t trouble you. You can go to church and even pray and read your Bible, and he won’t mind.

But the minute you wake up from your spiritual lethargy, shake off the worldly mindset, and commit yourself to radical obedience to Jesus Christ, you will encounter spiritual opposition! This at times can manifest in the physical too.

Through his message shared on social media, Pastor Isaac Kyobe Kiwewesi, the founder and Senior Pastor of Kansanga Miracle Centre Church says that the enemy will try to get a Christian sidetracked or to give up completely.

This often comes through verbal attacks intended to ridicule the believer’s confidence in God. Nevertheless, Pastor Kiwewesi says that for anyone in such a situation, God is about to prove Himself strong and mighty.

“There are people who you work with. When they see you lift up your hands, they mock you and ridicule every single act of worship. These are the people I’m talking about – Those that mock God’s spoken word – that mock God’s promises upon your life,” He says “They are about to know that someone was beaten for you to be healed, that someone faced shame for you to gain honor,”

Satan uses fear to paralyze God’s people and keep them from attempting anything significant for the Lord. If you yield to the opposition, you will quit the race in discouragement or settle in for a mediocre Christian existence.

Pastor Kiwewesi accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior during a crusade organized by Pastor Robert Kayanja of Miracle Centre Ministries in 1986 at the old taxi park in Kampala – Uganda.

He thereafter joined Rubaga Bible School in 1989 and later nurtured by his Spiritual Father, Pastor Robert Kayanja. This motivated him to initiate a home cell fellowship in Makindye, a suburb in Kampala.

In 2002, with the ever increasing numbers of Christians, Pastor Isaac says that the Lord instructed him to build an 8,000 seater sanctuary which was officially inaugurated by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on 18th December 2005 after its completion.
