Well-known advocate of girl and women’s rights in Uganda Miria Rukoza Koburunga Matembe has said that her purpose in life is to fight injustice.

She adds that God created everyone to fulfill specific purposes and that success is knowing God’s motive for your life.

This was revealed as she addressed the professional women breakfast at Lugogo cricket oval, organized by Pastor Jessica Kayanja, wife to Pastor Robert Kayanja.

“Find your vision, find your Passion and this will help you resist any injustice. When you depend on God and not yourself, you will live, so don’t fear to loose any thing, not even your job,” Hon Matembe said.

This breakfast meeting, intended to offer women professionals a platform to sharpen and improve each other, drew several expert speakers Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, Ms.Emma Mugisha of Stanbic bank, Director CID Grace Akullo, Hon. Lt. Col. Sarah Mpabwa, ‎Editor-in-Chief at Vision Group Barbara Kaija among others.

Running under the theme ‘professionalism with focus on excellence at the workplace’, Judge Catherine Bamugemereire encouraged women to be at the forefront of fighting corruption and other injustices in the society.

Surprise guest, Robert Kayanja (Pastor) challenged the attendants on how often they meet saying that, “Don’t wait for a year. Meet as women at least every 3 months and talk,”

He advised mothers on positive child discipline, urging that if mothers can’t stand up for their children, they have given them a license to steal and kill.

Pastor Jessica launched this annual Professional Women’s forum to improve the level of professionalism and service delivery in the nation, and to provide advisory and practical professional support to the government and any other organization.
