There are many different responses to hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people will mock and laugh. Others will ignore what they hear. Some will be very angry and possibly bring violence.

There are some who will believe and submit themselves to the word of God. But, watching Holy Keane’s new Video – ‘He Paid it’, something new comes to light.

Real names Mugisa Kenneth, Holy Keane Amooti is the first born of four, born on July 7th, 1986 in Fort Portal. He started his music in a bar at a tender age however, he was able graduated from Makerere University with a bachelor’s degree in performing arts and film.

Later on in 2010, he decided to go professionally as regards to music, this time around he decided to do gospel music. His decision ushered in a new album, with his first song ever titled MESSIAH. On the same album, he released songs like Milele, Guide me, Jah Jah, Love Love and many others.

He has released a lot of music, but he affirms that the audio sounds, message and scenery setup of ‘He Paid it’ goes a little deeper .

“‘He Paid it’ is too  deep. The message to the listener is simple, carry all your burdens to Him because He paid it on the cross of Calvary . Death we overcame,” Keane states.

“More music is coming however, what does it mean to lay down my life for others? I have come to understand that greater love has no one than He who laid down one’s life for one’s friends,” He further noted.

Keane made reference to John 15:13, urging that when we speak of the Cross, we are not just speaking of the wooden beam, but the Finished Work that was accomplished by Christ on the wooden beam.

Speaking further about the video scenery, Keane says that a lot was used to illustrate the supremacy of God and that fallen humanity owed a sin debt, so Christ the Lamb of God paid it for us on the Cross. “Looking at the bottle-and it’s content, the mattress, the people carrying their burdens, the reflections of the sun, the children etc,”

He is also the founder of Keane Amooti Foundation (KAF), an organisation he initiated to implement HIV/AIDS awareness/campaign programme in Kasese suburbs since January 2016.

The goal of this charity organisation is to educate, encourage and implement HIV alleviation activities such as encouraging abstinence, talents promotion, sports participation, ICT exposure to the vulnerable interest groups especially the children and teenagers which will in the long run reduce on HIV prevalence rates in the community.

On the other hand, he says that ‘Abooki’, a Rutooro love song off his second album is finally out doing well so far. He promises more tours and concert schedules soon.
