A must-see film commemorating the life and impact of the world-renowned late evangelist Billy Graham has been released this week.

The film details Graham’s journey as a dairy farmer’s son who rose to prominence, becoming one of the most influential Christian leaders in modern history.

Released on DVD on November 6th, a day before he would have marked his 100th birthday, Billy Graham was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on 7 November 1918 and spent decades preaching the Gospel around the world.

Graham passed away just shy of his 100th birthday on 21 February 2018.

For more than 60 years, Billy Graham preached the Gospel around the world to 215 million people who attended one of his more than 400 crusades, simulcasts and evangelistic rallies in more than 185 countries and territories. Throughout his lifetime, he served as a trusted spiritual advisor to many US presidents and world leaders, and impacted the lives of many public figures.

His son Franklin, who follows in his father’s footsteps as CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), said the film tells his father’s story as never before.

“You’ll see things that you haven’t seen before. We go back to the archives,” the son said in a BGEA press release. “We’ve dug deep to pull this material together which gives God the glory but shows how God used one man.”

“It’s an extraordinary journey how God took a young boy off a farm in rural North Carolina in the South and then from there to the ends of the earth. God used one man to touch the world like it’s never been touched before – Billy Graham was just part of that journey,” he added.

‘Billy Graham: An Extraordinary Journey’ also showcases his work during the civil rights movement in the United States, behind the Iron Curtain in Eastern Europe, and through many pivotal moments in world history. It also features interviews with prominent broadcasters and personalities, including Tom Brokaw, Larry King, Charles Gibson, Kathie Lee Gifford and Brit Hume.

The DVD contains hours of bonus footage and features, including Billy Graham’s funeral.

Major retailers carry the film, BGEA said, and it will be available at BillyGrahamFilm.com.
