Famous South Africa-based Malawian prophet Shepherd Bushiri of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) will be in Uganda this December.
UG Christian News has learnt that senior pastor and President of Embassy of God ministries – Kampala, Pastor Denis Amos Emojong will host Prophet Shepherd Bushiri from 11th to 14th of December at Miracle Valley, located along Namugongo road.
Morning sessions are expected to start 9am (EAT) and 4pm (EAT) for evening sessions.
Pastor Emojong announced Monday that Prophet Shepherd Bushiri – Major 1 was commanded by God to come to Uganda.
It was a divine instruction he received while in Australia, Pastor Emojong said.
“When God wants to do something new among His people, he will send a Prophet. And when you see a prophet in town, it simply means that God has got a message for that town – not only for the town, but the entire East African region. This is the first time the prophet of God is coming here this year.” he said.
Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is currently hosting a 3-day conference at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, in Sydney Australia.
In 2009 he founded the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG) under a tree in Mzuzu, a city in northern Malawi. The church then relocated to Pretoria South Africa.
His congregation drastically increased in the years after the Church headquarters moved from Malawi to South Africa. In South Africa the ECG has over 35,000 worshipers each week while in Malawi there are over 50,000, according to sources.
Sources say the Major 1’s page is one of the fastest growing pages in Africa for the pastors, just like his church which is also reported to be the fastest growing religious institution across the globe.
The ECG church has branches in Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia and other places.
He has earned himself a reputation as a man with succinct prophecies in his country, but this has also some with some media controversies, that he cares to often address.
His visit to Uganda has been greatly hailed by several Ugandan Pastors/Prophets including Prophet Brian Kagyezi, Franklin Mondo Mugisha, who like Pastor Denis Amos Emojong consider Mr Bushiri a spiritual father.
Mr Bushiri will be coming with his wife, Prophetess Mary Bushiri.
