When I opened up my Facebook app this morning, something had happened. The first four posts I saw were ones from friends all sharing the same Exodus single. Hours later, more friends had shared it.

Not all that uncommon for fans. But, I wondered, why was everyone excited? Then, I clicked the link.

Three minutes and six seconds later, my heart was captivated and honestly I fell in love again with the supreme God that has led me all my life – who will not let my foot slip for He sleeps not.

George Lubega Timothy (born 8 June 1984), known by his stage name Exodus has released a new single, ‘Tosumagila’ off his latest album.

After listening to it at least 15 times, I realized that this song was much more special for more reasons than its sound. The 32-year-old’s emotions are expressed with his voice as he reminds us of a God who neither slumbers nor sleeps.

There are so many facts listed in this song that we could spend a week or so posting about; however, I want to focus on that we are assured that God watches over us, and is always present to defend and fight our battles.

I count on Him to watch over me and stand with me, Exodus emphasizes through the new single.

Lyrically rich and vocally effortless yet on point, it’s cool to see an artist just allow us feel the music. This pushes music industry boundaries and proves points that listeners may not even realize, but should.

This song has been released at a time his latest video, ‘Nyinimu’ stands in the spotlight, after being nominated among the Best Choreographed videos for the Club video Music awards.

The winners of this year’s awards will be crowned on 18th March 2017.
