“The Yolanda Adams Morning Show” came to an end on Thursday without a warning to listeners. The cast of the radio show didn’t even say goodbye to their listeners because Yolanda Adams and her cast did not know the show was being cancelled until after their last show. According to Praise 104.7 on Monday, April 25, Erica Campbell will replace Yolanda Adams with a new show, “Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell.”

The Examiner reports that Adams fans were disappointed after listening to her for nine years. Now they will have to establish a radio relationship with Campbell. All Access Music Group reported that the new morning drive radio show syndicated by Reach Media Inc. in collaboration with Radio One will begin airing on May 10, 2016 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. ET. The four-hour show, “Get Up! Mornings with Erica Cambell” will be different from the show hosted by the previous female gospel artist. Campbell’s show will set a new bar for morning inspirational radio.

Campbell said, “I’m grateful to Reach Media, Radio One, Dan Otero of Globe Star Media and Warryn Campbell, CEO of my Block Records, for believing in me and my ability to inspire America to Get Up!” In reference to the change, CEO David Kantor of Reach Media stated, “Erica has mastered her craft in music and she’s winning in reality TV and even social media. I’m glad Reach Media and Radio One can provide her access to syndicated radio–another media to dominate and share her inspirational voice.”

The 43-year-old singer has been a member of the gospel/inspiration duo Mary Mary with younger sister, Tina Campbell, for nearly two decades. Erica went solo in 2013, and Tina went solo in 2014. Campbell is married to Warryn Campbell, and they have three children. She shares her life on her televised reality show “Mary Mary.”
