A woman only identified as Rukia Ntale shocked the country when she took to social media last week to accuse Buikwe District Woman Member of Parliament and gospel musician, Judith Babirye of being involved with her husband of 10 years.

In a one minute thirty second video with well over 93,000 views, Rukia, who claims to be married to (a one) Ssebulime Musoke Paul, explained that Judith Babirye intends to formally introduce her man, yet they have children – including twins.

“I have seen it in the news that you are about to introduce my man Salongo Peter Musoke – I will fight for what is mine.” Lukia said.

Dr Joseph Serwadda, the presiding apostle of the Born Again Faith Federation and head of Victory Christian Centre in Ndeeba on Sunday took off time to speak out on this report during a live television show with Bishop Ronald Mukiibi.

Although the preacher could not confirm whether Judith Babirye had formally introduced, he urged Rukia to present documents that prove that she is the lawful wife to Mr Ssebulime.

“There is a woman claiming Judith Babirye’s fiancee, but this is my take on the matter, if you ever come into a man’s home, and have one, two or twenty children , yet have never exchanged your wedding vows in Church or had a civil marriage licensed by government, you are not his lawful wife.” Dr Serwadda said.

“I saw the woman warning Judith Babirye,” he added.

Dr Serwadda suggested that rather than media tarnishing the said relation, they should publish documents that prove that Lukia is the lawfully wedded wife to Mr Ssebulime.

“You cannot claim that someone is your husband, yet you don’t have these documents. Even customary marriages are registered. Right after the introduction ceremony, a couple is supposed to attain an official document from government. Without that, there is no proof the two of you are married under that arrangement,” he said.
