In 2013, iconic worship leader and song writer Darlene Zschech recorded a song with Israel Houghton declaring the power of Jesus’ name over the works of darkness and even against physical sickness. One sickness Zschech openly speaks against is Cancer, even saying in the song itself “I hate Cancer.” Months later, she gets diagnosed with malignant cancer.
In this video, the pastor and worship leader looks back into her journey through breast Cancer which she was declared to be free of in December 2014 after doctors said her sickness was now gone. She shares about how she would hold on to the words and declarations made in a song she had written prior to any knowledge of her sickness.
