UG Christian News has learnt that a mass aimed at celebrating Andrew Felix Kaweesi’s life service will be held today, at his Home in Kyazanga, Kitwe Kya Njovu.

It was a today like this, March 17th 2017, when unknown assassins on motorbikes, attacked and killed the then Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Church leaders across the country issued statements strongly condemning the murder that also claimed Kaweesi’s driver and bodyguards at Kulambiro in Kasisi a Kampala suburb.

Gen Kaweesi (RIP) was a former head of police operations in the capital Kampala and had gained a prominent public profile for overseeing a number of arrests.

The motive for the shooting and identities of the attackers, who escaped from the scene, have never been uncovered till this day, despite the arrest of over 40 suspects in connection with the ordeal.

The late left four children and one wife.

“”We have seen too much violence,” remarked the Archbishop of Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali on Gen Kaweesi’s passing.

“One day the Lord of justice will judge and everything done in darkness shall come to light,” Worship House Pastor, Wilson Bugembe said.
