Pastor Joshua Ham Kurungi of Kingdom Empowerment International has challenged Christians to individually reach out to lost souls in society.
Ham has maintained that we are living in the last days, and that evangelism is the heart beat of God.
Each is mandated to bring the gospel to people, he said.
The remarks were made under the sermon title “Be fruitful and multiply” with reference made to Genesis 1:28 which says;
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
“When God says ‘be fruitful’, the first thing He is thinking about is winning souls,” Pastor Joshua Ham said.
“In the seed is the fruit of the tree. The fruits are not going to come from outside, they are going to come from inside. Each one you who is seated here, some of you are carrying 5000, some 6000 others 7000 – but it is all packed up in you,” he continued.
“To be fruitful and multiply is not what I am going to do, it is what God planted in you to do. You have been wired to be fruitful and multiply,” he said.
“Maturity in Christianity is not about; now you can pray in tongues, quote the bible; those are christian disciplines that are supposed to reveal what was conceived.” he added. “I fast not that God will hear me, but that the whole of my body is lining up with Him for the purposes for which i was born. And every time I am in that kind of place, I begin to bear fruit.”
According to Pastor Ham, the souls that are in you are the ones that stimulate the spirit of prayer in you.
“They are the ones that cause you to be uncomfortable. The discomfort is not for personal gain but for how much was invested in you that needs to come out,” he said. “The mysteries of the spirit is in such a way that God is not mandated to move according to the motions of the mind, He works with us the same way systems work with men.
“God is pushing you from just selecting the cold, to identifying the elect. A fruitful man is not just one that sows seed, but one that know what seed to sow in what soils and season. God is giving you a supernatural ability not just to bring souls in, but to identify purposes in those souls. to pick out the elect among the called. To identify who will bring out maximum multiplication,” he said.
