Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono has during its 6th schedule of the 18th graduation ceremony held Friday March 2, conferred diplomas, bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate diplomas and master’s degrees to 373 students .

Addressing the fresh graduates, Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Kazimba, the Bishop of Mityana Diocese urged that a renewed mind is the cornerstone of confidence and change.

Be the change you want to see wherever you go, Bishop Kazimba said.

He added, “This generation does things differently, their tone is different, dress code is different, please go out with a renewed mind to change the world,”

Dr John Senyonyi, the vice chancellor, appealed to the graduates that University education gives one new lens to think differently and “transform the world for better stay.”

“Go and serve, you are not alone, the Lord will be with you,” he added.

The Chancellor and Archbishop of the Church of Uganda while addressing the congregation stressed how the Christian community is proud of the University.

“As a church of Uganda, we are proud of Uganda Christian University, and personally, am an alumnus,” he said.

Of 373 graduates sent off today, 55% (205) were male, while 45% (168) were female, according to a statement from the university’s public relations office.
