Talented and dynamic a cappella singers, Canaan gents will perform at the Red Sofa Sessions on 28th, January, 2017 at the Garden City Rooftop, Kampala.

The group says they can’t wait to add color to this event by giving the listeners a sound of pure vocals.

“The Red Sofa Sessions are a good platform for the youths and the country at large. Many learn, get inspired by the people who have walked the path of success before and, also get motivated to keep working hard to achieve their dreams.” The group says.

The five say that the invite was super humbling reason being there many artists who would add color to this event but, “the organizers thinking of Canaan Gents leaves us blessing his Holy name for the favor he has poured unto us.” Samuel, the group lead vocalist adds.

This invite comes at a time when the group is still in celebration of the two accolades they recent received at the VIGA Awards, and the HiPipo Music Awards (HMA) nomination.

“Coming from awards’ celebration to the Red Sofa Sessions is a good feeling. This will be our 3rd event of the year after singing at two wedding receptions this January.”

Shadrack Kuteesa, the event vision bearer recently told their sponsor Ug Gospel Life that the event aims at getting Christians to meet and know each other, share their experiences of work, business among other fields.

Ug Gospel Life says that Shadrack Kuteesa was formerly deeply involved with the secular music industry before he met Christ who has transformed his life.

“I was in the secular industry doing artist management and events management. I gave my life to Christ in December 2015, joined Watoto church North in January, was baptized in February, got married in May, organized Coop Bly’s concert 2016 and currently in school of prayer at Watoto Church.”

Kuteesa has now channeled his energy, resources and talent to support gospel artists and gospel events.

With the event hosted by Power FM’s Ronnie Habasa, the Canaan gents will minister along side sensational worshiper Brian Lubega.

Guest speakers include Dickson Mushabe, an author and the CEO of Hostalite, a leading website design, hosting and domain name registration company in Uganda and East Africa, Dr Margaret Ssekidde, the Director Seroma LTD and Seroma Christian High School.

The event begins 6pm, and entrance is Ugx 20,000.
