Gospel acappella group the Canaan Gents have been nominated in two categories of The Prayze Factor People’s Choice Awards based in Atlanta, the capital of the U.S. state of Georgia.

Comprised of vocalists Samule Lubwama, Charles Ssentongo, Isaac Kawuki, Samuel Backer, and Geofrey, the award winning group popular for songs that include ‘Live Your Ways’, ‘He Lives’, ‘Nkwagala’ and ‘Azaaliddwa’ has been nominated in categories; Acappella Group Artists and Best Video of the Year for their hit single titled Sing.

Remarkably, ‘Best Video of the Year category‘ has a whopping 40 nominees, unlike ‘Acappella Group Artists category‘ where the Canaan Gents stand with only two acappella groups, Infinite and Titus group.

According to the organizers, the awards are a platform specifically and strategically formatted to bring maximum exposure to the inspired artists movement.

Last season of Prayze Factor yielded over 70 million votes from fans and finalists gained serious leverage in the gospel industry as many of them were picked up on other national platforms.

The awarding ceremony is slated for September 14th – 16th in Atlanta, GA .
