Hon. Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemereire has warned that evil prevails with more publicity, adding that Christians should through thanksgiving make mention of the enormous victory through Christ.

She notes that thanksgiving is an important event in the bible that impressed God, a case in point of the leper who came to Him in Luke 5:12-14.

Bamugemereire, who is popular for fighting corruption through the Commission investigating land management in Uganda made these remarks during a thanksgiving and end of year party organised by Bank of Uganda in Kampala on Thursday – where she was chief guest.

“The only leper that came back and gave thanks impressed God,” she said, urging that Christmas is not only to celebrate the birth of Jesus but also reflect on life and how far the lord has brought you.

The event that included Christmas carols led by Angelic flames from All saints Cathedral Church, gathered especially bankers, and related stake holders from several institutions within the region.

The Director in charge of supervision at Bank of Uganda and host of the event, Justine Bagenda urged listeners to imbibe the virtue of selflessness by attending to the needy this festive season and also live life worth emulating in their public and private lives.

“Show acts of kindness to the society during Christmas and let’s pray for those who left us to be with the Lord,” she said.

“I thank God for protection and that we were able to execute our work regardless of the challenges both internally and externally from the global market – We remained on duty and remained open to Judgement,” She added, later quoting Romans 5:3-5.
