Smartly dressed in blue, Andrea Presson shines at her very first musical concert.

A free concert in Ntinda, a location in northeastern Kampala delighted crowds to the sounds of gospel music on Sunday.

Headlined by Christian gospel star Andrea Presson, “The Time Out Concert” at Victory City Church was sponsored by english speaking gospel stations Power 104.1 FM and Spirit 96.6 FM, Parenting Uganda, Glow Magazine, Ug Extra among others.

Andrea stepped on the stage a few minutes past 7pm, pulling off a melodious delight and spirit-evoking ministration that kept many on their feet most of the time.

But it’s not without its highlights and special points, Andrea was supported by fellow singers Zabuli, D-Reign, Reborn Status and Rosebelle. Spirit FM’s Wake-up Call show host King Wesley was the MC.

Speaking to UG Christian News, Mike Presson, husband to Andrea said that this was the very first concert the wife has staged.

“It is something she felt from her heart she needs to give out. She has done music for a while – from a tender age of 7 while at northern island in the UK. She did lots of travels with the father who is a Bishop. So she was introduced to the world of service at a tender age.” Mike said.

Adding: “All the time, when she was in the UK, and also here in Uganda, she had never had any give-back kind of concert to her fans. She had never broken out main stream gospel. So, this time she was convicted to do something for the lovers of worship, R&B, contemporary and Hiphop.”

Mike told this website that Presson’s journey has been very simple, “She decided to give out a free concert to anyone who loves worship music. This is our sacrifice of worship to God. It was quite challenging getting this together, but we have seen God do amazing things. We have seen Power FM, Spirit FM come on board to support freely. That is what we had, the rest was family, friends and the lovers of gospel music.”

Time Out, the name labeled to the concert is one of  Andrea’s latest singles.  She blew many away as she sung it,  delivering not only vocal excellence but deep and powerful soul moving ministry.

Reborn Status ministration right before Presson came on stage.

As she sung “Jesus please”, I was immediately struck by the authority she carries, as she ministered song after the other.

Towards the end of the event, Andrea welcomed a number of people to say a word or two. These included Ps. Gerald Rovis Masinde.
