It was not a bed of roses for Pr Umar Mulinde the day he chose to convert from Islam to Christianity.

The 42-year-old was born to leaders in the Muslim faith who had a mosque built on their property.

Upon converting to Christianity and developing into a Senior Pastor of a huge congregation, she was attacked by Muslims who threw acid on him, yelling ‘Allah Akbar’ three times as they ran away.

Severely burnt in the face, neck and back,  Umar almost lost the sight of one eye.

After more than two years of painful rehabilitation, he is on track preaching the gospel once again in Uganda and elsewhere around the world.

“Some colleagues, family members and this very blood brother hated me.” Umar stated on Tuesday, revealing further that the two have re-united, following his visit to the family.

“I was welcomed like a hero.I am celebrating this victory by planting a Church at the very place where I was born.” He further said.
