One of Trinidad and Tobago’s most established gospel reggae stars, Joel “Positive” Murray is set to minister in Uganda on 29th September, 2017 at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.

He is a singer, prolific songwriter and genre-bending producer, most popular across the world for fostering a positive spin on reggae music, fused with contemporary gospel and a tinge of dance-hall.

Positive’s visit has been confirmed by his management. Christian radio station Spirit 96.6 FM, notes that the event comes in proud partnership with Love Loud, an organisation that’s all about doing expression God’s love loudly.

He is known for such songs that include Mighty Healer, Blessing After Blessing, Highest of Heights, Two man Army, Identity among others.

“Love Loud Rave Gospel Concert is on the 29th but we will be there from 27th, early arrival would be to accommodate media interviews – TV, radio, print. Positive’s music is an inspiration that comes from deep in the heart of the visionary.” Kern Cowan, manager for Positive, told UG Christian News on Saturday.

Positive has earned acclaim from music critics and fans alike, ever since hitting the music scene eight years ago.

He was the most-nominated artist (13 nominations) and top honoree (eight wins) at the 2014 Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Awards in Nassau, Bahamas where he received the top awards including Song Of The Year for “Blessing After Blessing” and Album Of The Year for “Forever My King”, released in December 2012.

In 2015, his hit album Stand And Be Counted, debuted at Number 9 on the Billboard Reggae Album Chart for the week of May 23.

“It isn’t just for me but also for everyone who supports the Gospel and good music—we are in the top ten of Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart. The entire globe is listening so we will keep sending inspiring messages as we seek to make a positive difference in the world. This is a call to Stand And Be Counted!” Positive told Guardian.com website.

“He intends to carry the message of Christ on to as many generations as possible as he continues to walk in the light of God.
