This year though not rolled out fully has seen so much talent in the Gospel music industry. Musicians have really worked had to raise the banner for Christ.

Each and every artiste on the scene tried or is still trying to be at the top of the game hence working round the clock trying to produce a list that will make them stand out and exemplify God’s Excellency. In doing so, songs have come and competition has been stiffed and ways have been paved for new artists.

Fresh Music genres: They come and always give a lasting impression (or not). This is a look at what 2016 has to offer both in new upcoming artists and established artists inspiring the generation.

We are excited yet humbled at the same time to present to you a fresh new single titled, ‘Another Life. Unlike anyother song we have heard in a while, ‘Another Life’ is a Tribute to the late New Testament (Hillary Lukyamuzi)

She has released her latest single entitled ‘Amazing, an audio that one listener recommended saying, “Love the person and the music. I love this…I just listened to it,” We certainly look forward to listening to more of her great Urban African/ Afro Fusion Style.

Ronald Bwayo – known to many as BWAYOS THE DISCIPLE “BTD” was born in the year 1986 to a family of eight. As profiled by Glow Magazine Ug, he gave his life to Jesus Christ in December of 2006 and he testifies that since then, his life has never been the same.

Even the greatest was once a beginner, Ronald started off with high school freestyle rapping but as we write today, he is pursuing his dream further more. Ronald has released the Osanide [you ought to] Audio that affirms that we have every reason to praise God.

Samuel Kiggundu, better known as Sami-K is one of Uganda’s finest gospel music acts with international reckon and an expanding fan base.  He is a rare super breed of the gospel of Christ. Beyond his music, in 2005, he signed with First Love Records, and released his debut album Rhythm & Praise the same year.

Today, he has four albums to his name. It got no better this year than with the release of ‘Expressions’, an album which was officially out to the audience on Valentine’s Day.

The committed minister of God has spent most of his life in ministry and is still glued to the same. “So glad God put me among the Pioneer Urban Gospel artistes of this time and age in Uganda,” Samuel says.

Lyll Mykk – “Every time your past comes calling this will encourage you to find the strength to not pick up,” says Lyll Mykk who has just released his latest audio single titled ‘wrong number’

Also known as Lyrical Mycheal, he best describes himself as a Bible Story Teller, Song Writer, Actor & Activist with a mission to give Hope and Inspire Change in society.

He is the president of Christian entertainment power house SALT ENTERTAINMENT GROUP dedicated to preaching the gospel of truth through art and media, and also founder member of R&B/RAP group HOLYUNIT ABATUKUVU.

Wrong number’ features a special guest called Roger Kent and it is already massively playing on different radio stations within the country.

Lena Price – Listening to her music and getting the opportunity of interacting with her, Lena is one driven and moved by the Love of God, basing her Ministry on John 13:35. “Jesus is the center of all Ministry.

Many have not heard her fully, but she is one artist the industry is glad to have. ‘I am light’ is the title to her latest single and it is a top urban gospel audio fused with both Luganda and English.

It centers on John 8:12 which says that then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk it the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

Whether looking at Afro-beat, pop music, hip-hop or R&B, it’s rare to find someone who hasn’t been touched or affected by the power and soul of gospel music. Brian Lubega, Daisy Ejang, SoulJe, Emmanuel Fortune Kabuuka, Robinsan are among the other vast artists that have released new music 2016. We will run out of space listing them all today, but as God gives the grace, we will continue with the close features.
